Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel

Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel is located in central Stockholm, next to Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and Stockholm Central Station, just off Riddarfjärden. Its central location and unique architecture have made the hotel an obvious choice for both business and leisure travellers visiting Stockholm.

Construction of the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel began in 2005 in collaboration with White Architects and was ready for occupation in 2011. Today, the complex consists of three buildings for hotels, offices and congress activities.

Challenges

One of Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel's challenges and problem areas has been the lack of parking spaces, time-consuming permit parking, misplaced cars and lack of charging infrastructure. As the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel consists of three buildings - hotel, office and conference - different types of parking solutions are required to ensure that needs are met.

Solutions

As the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel is visited daily by tourists, business travellers and office workers, smart and cost-effective solutions are required, including flexible permit parking and efficient visitor parking. In order to address the parking needs required, while solving the problems that exist, Parkit has chosen to focus on five main areas; camera surveillance, parking signage, development of improvement proposals, digital parking permits and charging infrastructure. 

Install camera surveillance with Eagle Eye™

The Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel has long had a problem with cars parked in the wrong place stealing spaces from hotel visitors and guests. To combat this, Parkit will ensure that the parking area is patrolled more frequently by our inspectors and install surveillance cameras with our unique Eagle Eye™ service. By installing camera surveillance, we can gain 100% real-time visibility into which cars are currently parked in the area and then deploy optimized solutions.

Optimize and clarify signage

Optimised signage in the parking area will lead to a smooth flow of parking and satisfied visitors. Parkit will optimise and clarify all parking signage on the hotel site.

Collect statistics for the area and make suggestions for improvement

To better understand the challenges and opportunities of the area, we have been observing and recording the use of the car parks in the Radisson Blu Waterfront hotel area for some time. Based on our observations, we then developed a number of improvement proposals to optimise and maximise the number of parking spaces to provide better parking options for hotel visitors.

Digital permit parking

We know from experience that physical permissions are a problem for both visitors and administrators. With our digital permit parking solutions, Radisson's Blu Waterfront Hotel will have a simplified parking permit process, leading to more satisfied visitors and smoother administration.

Design and install charging infrastructure

We are seeing a growing demand for electric and hybrid cars in all sectors of society. To meet the needs of visitors and guests at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, we will design, optimise and install charging infrastructure from scratch. The new charging stations, featuring our unique charging posts with built-in retina displays, will be available throughout the hotel grounds.
